A cross carved in relief emerges from a pre-mining surface with no specific carving.

Some of the barely sketched kneelers in the chapel rise up to look up at the cross from below.

Permanent unevenness and cracks in the feet and walls of the chapel evoke Golgotha and the events that occurred there when Jesus died on the cross: Thunder, lightning, cracks… the world trembled, darkness enveloped the place, the veil of the temple was torn.
